Florida International University (Miami, FL)

I started at Griffin High School as Spanish teacher. I taught all levels of Spanish including Advanced Placement. I was also the Foreign Language Department Chair covering Spanish, Latin, and German. I was at Griffin High School for four years. Prior to coming to Fannin County High I taught four years at Arnall Middle School. I taught Middle School Spanish and Level I High School Spanish along with an adult teacher Spanish class. I was involved in several extracurricular activities including head boys basketball coach, head boys track and field coach and co-founder of the running club.

I grew up in a small city in northern New York near the Quebec border. It is a mountainous area with the Adirondacks to the South and the green mountains of Vermont to the East. Blue Ridge and the surrounding areas really remind me of that area of Upstate New York. In my early 20s I moved to Miami where I spent 6 years. After that I moved to the Atlanta area, where I lived for 9 years before moving to beautiful Blue Ridge. I enjoy hiking, kayaking and taking advantage of the outdoor activities that this area has to offer. I recently bought a cabin and feel very fortunate to be able to live and teach in this great community.
