1992:     Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, AL: Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Management

2009:     Cobb County, GA: Gifted and Talented Teaching Certification

I began teaching in 2002, and joined the FCHS staff in 2014.  I have taught and/or tutored all levels of middle and high school mathematics. I am certified to teach both middle and high school. I have taught Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus at the regular and honors level.

Before teaching, I worked in the “real world”. I was a general manager for Wendy’s Restaurants for three years. I worked for American Medical Response ambulance service for five years where I worked my way up to Deployment/QI Manager, and I worked for Outboard Marine Corporation as a production planner before realizing that my calling was teaching.

I married in 1992. My husband and I have two daughters. We love to camp…mostly in the winter. Living in Blue Ridge makes us feel like we are camping every day! We have spent much of our lives together raising our daughters and working. We are servants…my husband is a nurse; I am a teacher. We spend our days taking care of and teaching others. Before our move to Blue Ridge was complete, we felt that we were coming home to a place where people take care of each other. Every person that has touched our lives has been amazing. We feel truly blessed to be here.

Thank you for welcoming us into your community. My job is to grow your children into mathematicians and ensure that math does not stop them from pursuing their dreams. I will work tirelessly to that end. Thank you for blessing me with the opportunity to teach your babies!
