Coach Stone is in his seventh year of teaching at Fannin County High School.  He has taught biology, environmental science, and physical science while at Fannin County High School.


Coach Travis Stone graduated from Copper Basin High School in 2003 as the salutatorian. While at CBHS, he was a five year letterman in football, basketball, and baseball. After high school, he attended Cleveland State Community College, where he played and lettered in baseball for two seasons. After Cleveland State, Coach Stone attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville where he studied ecology and environmental science. He left the University of Tennessee in order to pursue his teaching degree at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science.

Coach Stone has been at Fannin County High School going on 7 years. He has coached both football and baseball during those 7 years. During his coaching career at Fannin, he has been a part of the 2010 8-AA North Sub-Region Championship in football and the 2011 8-AA North Sub-Region Championship in baseball. Coach Stone also helps coach the JV baseball team, which finished 2nd in the North Georgia JV Baseball Tournament in 2011.
Coach Stone is currently teaching biology and environmental science and is a junior class sponsor.
Coach Stone is married to Kristen Bowers, an alumni of Fannin County High School.
