Shelby Publishing, 1996-1998, Staff Writer for The Shelby Report

I was born and raised in Blue Ridge, Georgia, where I attended FCHS. Upon graduation, I decided to attend NGCSU in Dahlonega. I worked my way through college by waitressing, washing dishes and serving as a sous chef at a restaurant for five years. I worked as a staff writer for a foodservice magazine in Gainesville before I was called to teach.

I have been teaching British and World Literature for 18 years. I love to interact with the students, pushing them to be their best. My goal is for each student to achieve his/her personal goals and to "change the world."

I am the proud mother of a 12 year old daughter, Rachel, and 10 year old son, Collin. My motto is "I laugh when I can and I live with the rest."
