I am beginning my ninth year of teaching at Fannin County High School. During my time here, I have taught all grades in courses including Ninth Grade Literature and Composition, Communications, World Literature, and Journalism. I am certified to teach English Language Arts in grades six through twelve. Three years ago, I became certified in Exceptional Student Education and enjoy being able to serve students in this capacity, as well. This year I am teaching World Literature and Composition and Ninth Grade Literature and Composition. In addition, I became the Advisor for Student Council this year.

I am a proud graduate of Fannin County High School and was thrilled to have the opportunity to "come home" after I graduated college. I spent five years working with a court system as a Deputy Criminal Clerk. After cross-training in Juvenile Court, I felt a strong calling to work with children and serve as a positive influence in their lives. After much soul searching, I decided to combine that desire with my love of literature and earned my degree and certification to teach. I am beginning my ninth year teaching, and I cannot believe time has flown as quickly as it has! The old adage, "Time flies when you're having fun," is certainly true in my case. I cannot imagine working anywhere else in the world; those I work for and with in this district are some of the most dedicated, outstanding people I've ever met, and the students here at FCHS are wonderful.
