This will be my sixth year at Fannin County High School teaching in the physical education department. I previously have taught at the high school level in Tennessee, Florida and Iowa. I also have taught at the collegiate level at both the University of North Dakota and South Dakota State University.

I also will be starting my sixth year of coaching basketball at Fannin County High School. I have spent the last thirty-five years coaching basketball, twenty-four at the high school level and eleven at the collegiate level. I also will be starting my sixth year of helping with the Fannin golf program.


I was born and raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa and graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1979. I played baseball, basketball and football in high school and played baseball at the collegiate level before graduating from the University of Northern Iowa in 1984. I also received my Master's degree from the University of North Dakota in 1993.  I am the head boys basketball coach here at FCHS and have been coaching basketball at the high school and college level for the past 33 years, and 23 of those years have been spent teaching at the elementary through the university level. I am also coaching golf for the Rebels and previously I have also coached football and baseball at the high school level. Before moving to Georgia, I lived in Tennessee, Florida, Illinois, South Dakota, Ohio, North Dakota and Iowa. I have been married to my wife Paula for 23 years and have a daughter, Courtney, who is a junior at Georgia Southern University and a son, Jared, who is in the 12th grade at FCHS.
